Challenge
Our client had implemented a data governance strategy to influence an improvement in data management practices.
To support their plans, a data management platform was required to help automate processes and workflows as well as support Information Governance and Data Privacy requirements.
Approach
- We brought together a small multi-disciplinary team of sourcing and data expertise.
- We built out a backlog of requirements across all in scope functional areas., undertook a market assessment and created a screening matrix to refine supplier shortlist.
- Working closely with our client team we planned and executed demonstrations & deep profiling of vendors on validated short list.
- We recommended (and designed) an agile Proof of Value (POV/POC) approach for engagement to derive more value through a co-created process.
Outcomes
- Reduction in typical timeframes required to source new technology in the organisation.
- A coached and mentored client team able to source further data tools for future procurement exercises.
- Detailed proof of value exercise against persona-based scenarios leading to better business buy in and commitment.
- A fit for purpose data management tool that supported a broad set of requirements across data, IG and Data Privacy.
