Challenge
Our client needed an empirical understanding of its Disaster Recovery (DR) position with respect to all software applications supporting the business.
[This is a business unit within a large global manufacturing company operating in 100 countries]
Approach
- Peru worked with stakeholders to understand concerns and challenges.
- We conducted an application discovery exercise applying multiple lens such as: Business Impact Assessments; DR Service Class assessments; Hosting locations; understanding of Critical applications; gap analysis etc.
- An execution plan was developed including a DR design, test plans, an overview of current estate, and provided training to application owners.
- We developed the transition plan to the target state.
Outcomes
- Improved visibility and risk culture across application owners. Stakeholders are audit ready.
- An improved position on risk and policy compliance.
- An exemplar DR approach to be transferred to other business units.
